Under the guise of a constitutional amendment to appear on the ballot to create a "better" Michigan government:

"LANSING – The overhaul of Michigan’s political structure contained in a proposed constitutional amendment targeted for the November election was designed to allow Democrats control of all branches of state government and the redistricting process, according to a presentation that surfaced today.

The documents contained in a PowerPoint document outline the difficulties state Democrats have experienced for decades in gaining control of the legislative, judicial and executive branches simultaneously and promotes a “government reform” ballot proposal as the best means to “changing the structural obstacles to Democratic control.”

Better, less cumbersome, cheaper government? Total bullshit. It's all about the Demoscums gaining control of the state and the bastards know it and approved it. They put it together in a presentation!

UPDATE: From The Detroit News website: "Michigan AFL-CIO President Mark Gaffney said he hadn't seen this particular Powerpoint presentation, but said he had seen a similar one. He said a majority of unions in the state support the proposal.

"This system is broken. And if by fixing it we get rid of these Republicans who are stopping progress because the plan slightly benefits Democrats, then that's what we think our members are telling us about reforming Michigan government," he said."

Progress? What progress have the Republicans in Michigan stopped? Higher business taxes, higher state taxes, the black hole that's Detroit along with its bottom-feeding Mayor? This guy is running the "Big Union" around here and he is a complete fool. More

Rather than working to guide their members through a difficult economy, they appear to be pursuing a crassly partisan and breathtakingly cynical political maneuver."
