Some of you liberals - non-politicians, I'm referring to, who are good friends and/or relatives, think some of us are nuts. Whenever we talk - or rant - about a government takeover of this or that you shake your heads. "Why", you say, "the government of the United States couldn't possibly be wanting to run your life like you say they do. They just want what is right for everybody". Uh-huh...

There used to be a Constitution to LIMIT the scope of government. Then that government came up with & used various means to justify virtually every action it has taken to go BEYOND, way beyond, the scope outlined in the Constitution and have at least some control over every aspect of American life.

And then there's the Bill of Rights, enumerating certain rights not to be taken from the citizenry. Remember that little bit of wording? Freedom of speech, gun ownership, etc?

Virtually nothing The Obamanation is attempting is within the Constitution. Oh, you can argue that every administration has tried to grab more power, and you would be right. But none have been so blatant as The Obamanation in their desires to turn the U.S. into a socialist, fascist, statist, or totalitarian nation.

Case in point: Inspired by Saul Alinsky, FCC 'Diversity' Chief Calls for ‘Confrontational Movement' to Give Public Broadcasting Dominant Role in Communications (link: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/53055) This guy wants the government to have virtual total control of what you hear on the radio. Don't believe me? Read the article and this guy's comments. He wants the GOVERNMENT in charge of yours and mine and Rush Limbaugh's right to free speech. Is there anything more basic to American freedoms than the right to say or write what you want without worrying that the jack-booted thugs of the government aren't going to knock down your door and send you to the gulag or concentration camp? Or fine you out of business because you don't spout the government line? Note, too, that the targets of all this are not from the left but always from the right. Its not enough that the television is controlled almost completely from the left - now they don't want any of us to hear what the right has to say.

How about this quote from this asshole's book:

"For those who think any or all of these recommendations might infringe on the free speech rights of broadcasters, Lloyd says his concern is not the "exaggerated" concerns over the First Amendment.
 
"It should be clear by now that my focus here is not freedom of speech or the press," he said. "This freedom is all too often an exaggeration. At the very least, blind references to freedom of speech or the press serve as a distraction from the critical examination of other communications policies."

"Exaggerated" concerns over the First Amendment? This is Obama's buddy, his appointee...and he directly reflects The One's own view of how things are supposed to be.

Is this more of the change you Obama voters and supporters envisioned? There is nothing more evil than supposed do-gooders eliminating every freedom you still have left. Name it and they have and will attack it.

So, pu-lease, don't tell me anymore that I'm the wackjob. At least I am not trying to transform the country into a totalitarian state with me running it like the leftists now in charge are...
